OM0ET (Paul) - UltraLight Magnetic Loop antenna MC-20
This is a very nice, well built and fair priced QRP (max. 20W) portable magnetic loop antena with full 40m-10m coverage.
Some initial observations (before being tested in a real QSO):
excellent measurement results for most of the bands
antena tuning is very sensitive, especially in the upper bands (10m and up). The resonant frequency is changing significantly (considering the very small bandwidth) when you move away from the loop.
because of the way the tripod mount is implemented (a simple screw) and the weight of the antenna, most of the cheap tripods will not offer proper stability
